Hi everyone! It’s Faith and Brandy. Welcome to our new site! Do you like it? We worked very hard on getting this up and running for Thanksgiving and it looks like we accomplished our goal! Please feel free to look around and read all the material we have posted in the tabs. There is some great information on what this event is about, how to enter and some basic rules.
Now that it is November that means it’s Thanksgiving time! This time of year always says a few things to me:
Apples
Cinnamon
Squash
I know that is what a lot of people feel Fall feels like but I’m definitely more an apple person in November than I am in October. I have no real reason or explanation why…it just is 🙂 So onto the event! Simply pick ANY recipe that says Thanksgiving to you. It can be savory or sweet. You can make up your own recipe or use one you found (please give credit!) and then submit that recipe at the end of the month when we post the MckLinky asking for submissions. If you wish to submit early you can simply email Faith and I. You can find our contact information in the “contact” tab. We have also decided to ask everyone who is submitting their recipes to please link back to this site. You can also grab our button and put it on your page to help promote our event. Here is the time line for this months challenge:
November 1st: Brandy post’s about Thanksgiving event
November 8th: Faith post’s Thanksgiving themed recipe
November 15: Brandy post’s Thanksgiving themed recipe
November 21st: Brandy will put up MckLinky for recipe submissions and keep it open until November 22nd at 9pm.
November 23rd: Round-up of participants and announcement of winner!
Keep in mind that this month there is only three weeks to get together a holiday recipe. We cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with this month. I just know it’s going to be delicious!!!

Ruthie, The MckLinkly list is basically a list you can set up on your blog so that people can enter direct links to recipes on their blogs. The MckLinky list is set up to start and end at specific dates/times (it’s usually open for a pretty short window of time), which helps prevent spammers from entering their links. If you have a recipe to enter and don’t want to wait until the end of the month to enter it in the MckLinky list, please feel free to email it to us!
It’s amazing! I will be back to see what you’re up to here. As I have eluded to, I’m not much of a cook, but with your inspiration…and all the amazing things that I’ve actually made with your recipes…who knows, maybe one day I’ll be an amazing cook!
